Adventures in the Berner Oberland: Part Two

Extreme Sports of Mürren by Xander and Jacob

Xander: There are not many things to do in Mürren but the things that you can do are some of the most fun of your life. Jacob, mom, and dad are a little more scared of the extreme stuff but I love it. One of the best things I did in Mürren was paragliding. It was crazy: to take off you basically jump off of a cliff. I went with a family friend we called buddy Buzz. We flew around for awhile trying to get as high as possible. We flew over a couple mountains, then swooped down into valleys and other fun stuff. Before we landed Buzz tried to reenact a roller coaster by going down super fast and going from side to side, until we stopped so I would not get sick.

Taking off!

The next crazy/scary activity was a hike and rock climb up the mountain that we were staying on with my friend Ben. It’s called the Via Ferrata. We were a few thousand feet in the air with nothing below us. We were strapped to a rope to keep us from dying but it was annoying because you had to clip and unclip it every minute or so. This was the scariest thing that I’ve ever done in my life, and I loved it!

Crazy unstable bridge!
Walking across a tight rope

Jacob: Greetings people. Now we will talk about something that’s actually cool. Now I will present to you 007 talk. Myself and some friends went to this cool 007 museum on the top of a Swiss mountain where a very popular 007 movie was made. Here it is!

Cool thing

Another adventure at the top of the mountain was the Thrill Walk, which is a little walk through cages nailed to the side of a big cliff.

I also cleaned up in poker.

Well that’s all people. Bye.

Sincerely Jacob

Nice view
